Our recommendations on where to wine and dine in Northern Cyprus 

Places that we have tried and found the food to be good, but will obviously depend on your own taste! (That’s my cop out)

Acmenya Restaurant: Nearest restaurant to the villa at approx 500m. A good selection of traditional Cypriot food with an English Menu also available. Lookout for the Cypriot night with dancing and music.

Kervan : Approx 8kms on left towards Girne there is a turning for THE TALISES CASINO take the turning and 1km further you will come to a selection of fish Restaurants and the café bar Kervan .Kervan has a good selection of foods at about £15 per head . Also has a small sandy beach with facilities. One of the best places to see the sun set. We have used this one a few times in past . June 08 beach has now become a paying one.

Stonegrill: Approx 6k's along the right hand side of road heading into Kyrenia. A new style of cooking from Australia where you cook outside on your own personal hot plate. Cost is approx £20 per head including drinks and coffees. Starter of mixed mezes included in the cost.

Ezic Chicken Bar: on main road in Girne see leaflet. Busy but fast service and not just chicken dishes. Both times food very good approx cost £15 per head including a few drinks and coffees excluding starters. Also a good place for take-aways.
Nb June 07 we visited a new Ezic Premier it is situated at the back of the old one approx 1 mile up the hill follow the signs food excellent and décor modern service very good .

Castle Pub: Approx 5kms on left turning for Mountain View Hotel. Opened in June/July 03 the pub is excellent for cheap burgers, kebabs and chips. It also shows all major sporting events including LIVE PREMIERSHIP AND EUROPEAN FOOTBALL.

Jashans: On the main road to Kyrenia in Karaoglanoglu  on the right 8kms. Excellent Indian food, can be busy so best to book in advance. Approx £20 per head. 

Ambiance Restaurant in Karaoglanoglu
Situated right on the shoreline, the Ambiance offers wonderful views across the Mediterranean Sea. Come here for the quality meze and grilled meats, and there is also a vegetarian menu available. Other restaurants we have tried and enjoyed over the past years have included The Address, Seveners, The Verander, and Huzur Agac. Leaflets or cards are available at the villa.

Don't forget that there are a wealth of fantastic restaurants down at Kyrenia Harbour -  a must for fresh fish fans!
